San Clemente is located at the southern tip of Orange County, California and is most well known for its beaches, hills, Spanish Colonial architecture, and mild climate. The year round average temperature for the city is in the 70′s, with August being the warmest month and December being the coolest. Among the city′s top employers are Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Wal-Mart, Peligroso Tequila, and Lowe′s. San Clement is also well known for its surfing legacy. The waves come year round in the city making it a top surf destination, as well as, the surfing media capital of the world. Also, many professional surfers, such as Mike Parsons and Shane Beschen, have taken up full time residency here. Six out of the past seven NSSA national surfing titles have been won by San Clement High School.

Another thing that the city is well known for is being the setting for the MTV reality show, Life of Ryan, starring Ryan Sheckler. Other notable residents of the city include 37th President of the United States Richard Nixon, founder of Carl′s Jr. Carl Karcher, and author Michael Robertson. The city features numerous recreational activities including swimming pools, parks, beaches, bike/walking trails, playgrounds, youth and adult sports, and cultural activities such as the Cabrillo Playhouse and the Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens.
